The application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "windows" in "".

I have put the qwindows.dll + others in the /platforms directory of the application.
The application runs fine on several fresh installs of Windows (32bit and 64bit). But for some people they get this error popup when trying to run the application.
Any ideas?

Did you follow Qt's deployment guide ?
Use windeployqt to prepare the deployment ?
