    Hallo all,

    I need install Qt creator 4.8. I found the following link.
    https://download.qt.io/archive/qt/4.8/4.8.6/

    There are many files in that link , which one exactly i have to use to install qt creator. Because I have tried two among them but none of them are qt creators. They are just demonstrations. Please help me to find right one.

    Thanks

      @priya-reddy The link is not for QtCreator but for Qt. What do you really want to install? QtCreator (which is an IDE), Qt or both? If you want to install Qt: on which OS and for which compiler do you want to install it?

        thank you for the reply. I want to install Qt creator in windows 7 and MinGW compiler, but the version should be 4.8 , which is my project requirement.

          @priya-reddy You mean version of Qt should be 4.8? There is no QtCreator 4.8.
          Download and install https://download.qt.io/archive/qt/4.8/4.8.6/qt-opensource-windows-x86-mingw482-4.8.6-1.exe
          Then download and install QtCreator from the link I posted (http://download.qt.io/official_releases/qtcreator/4.2/4.2.2/qt-creator-opensource-windows-x86-4.2.2.exe).

            @jsulm

            I have downloaded and installed them respectively. When I am trying to create a project I am getting error like no valid kits found. What does it mean? . Is that compiler?

              The compiler is taking visual studio compiler and the version is unable to add. I tried to add the qmake file, but it is showing the error as "Qmake file is crashed".

                Hi,

                Just in case, there's Qt 4.8.7 here which is the latest and last available version of the Qt 4 series.

                  What do you mean? Did you install Qt 4.8 for MinGW? If so then you should have MinGW compiler in the folder where you installed Qt. Look for g++.exe there and add it as compiler.
                  Which qmake.exe did you select?
