I am getting an error trying to install the macOS component through the Maintenance Tool.

Installation proceeds fine and then at the end I get the following error:
    ""
    Error during installation process (qt.58.clang_64):
    Execution failed(Unexpected exit code: 1): "/Users/jwb/QtCom///Qt Creator.app/Contents/Resources/sdktool addKit --id qt.58.clang_64_kit --name Desktop Qt %{Qt:Version} clang 64bit --Ctoolchain x86-macos-generic-mach_o-64bit --Cxxtoolchain x86-macos-generic-mach_o-64bit --qt qt.58.clang_64 --debuggerengine 256 --devicetype Desktop"
    ""

iOS support works fine with Qt 5.8.

    macOS Sierra
    Version 10.12.3
    Version 8.2.1 (8C1002)

How can I fix this problem?

      Hi,

Do you mean when you trying to add Qt 5.8 ? Or are you doing something else ?

@SGaist Thanks for your response. No, Qt 5.8 is already installed.

I have been trying to add the macOS component through "Add or remove components" in the Maintenance Tool after 5.8 has been installed.

The following component is already installed in 5.8 and working:
        iOS

The Android components are also installed, but I have not tested them yet.

All of the other components are installed under 5.8 except Sources and Qt Script.

Then maybe a silly question, did you check that you have enough space on your hard drive ?

@SGaist That question is a good question, but yes, I did check (111 GB free). I have since been able to install other software as well.

Since you have a commercial license, did you also ping the support folks ?

I've updated Qt to 5.8 on Sierra and haven't got that problem.

I wonder if you are hitting a faulty mirror.

You can try to change it using the QtSdkRepoChooser project.

@SGaist Sorry for the late update. It turns out that something in my installation had become corrupt. Deleting the installation and reinstalling fixed the problem. Thanks for your help!
