I am currently creating my own printer dialog and would like to access the "Printer Preferences" which can be accessed by pressing the appropriate button within the printer dialog but don't know of any way to do this. Does anyone have any info on this?

The Preferences button is mentioned in the Qt Docs but it doesn't have any info about opening the options from a slot or similar? I think the PrinterDialog is using some native printer options depending upon the OS so this will probably look after the printer preferences.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Hi,

Do you mean you are reimplementing QPrintDialog ?

Essentially, yes. I am wanting to display the printer options from another piece of UI which includes other options that aren't included in the QPrintDialog. At the moment, I have an advanced options button which allows access to a QPrintDialog, which will allow the user to access all of the standard print options and the printer properties, but I would ideally like to just offer a printer properties button and skip the QPrintDialog.

Then you'll have to check each platform implementation. AFAIK, the QPrintDialog class opens the OS official print dialog and interacts with the corresponding subsystems.
