Embebbed Hardware
-
Hello Everyone,
I want to start to try Qt in Embebbed Systems, What "hardware ready" does anyone recommend?
-
you can compile qt embedded on several platforms. But embedded is a big field. From small win CE devices, to big machines, runnin an RT linux kernel or a small ARM.
It totally depends on the Hardware, you want to use later on....

Qt Embedded is different for the Qt "standard"?, does it support Qt Quick too?

Take a look at the Beagleboard, or Raspberry PI. There's plenty of info on Qt Labs about how to get Qt up and running on a Beagleboard, and I know that there are some people interested in working with the Raspberry PI hardware, so there should shortly be a good amount of information about that.
Qt Embedded (previously called Qtopia) is quite different to Qt "standard", but you should be able to get normal Qt (possibly even Qt5, so long as the hardware has an openGL capable graphics chip onboard) working on any embedded hardware which can run Linux -- although it's not something I've done personally, so I could be wrong.

Thank you!! That is what I was looking for!

Take a look at the Graperain, or Raspberry PI. There's plenty of info on Qt Labs about how to get Qt up and running on a Raspberry PI, and I know that there are some people interested in working with the Graperain embedded hardware design, so there should shortly be a good amount of information about that.
