Solved Deploying Qt-GStreamer
-
Hello,
I am trying to Deploy a Qt 5.7.1 application with a qt-gstreamer plugin.
I have built the qmlplayer example on a Windows7 machine.
I have used the deployment tool (windeployqt.exe) to try and include all the right libraries but still doesn't seem to work on another machine.
The only way that I can get it to work on another machine is by downloading all the Qt 5.7.1 development files and adding the Qt 5.7.1 bin directory to the windows PATH.
How can I find out what are the right dlls to include in the Deployment if they are not pulled in by the deployment tool?
Thanks,
Kind Regards,Michael -
Hi and welcome to devnet,
You can use Dependency Walker to check out the libraries linked to your application.
You can then also tell
windeployqt
to install additional module, that might also simplify the process.Hope it helps

Thanks a lot,
Depency Walker was a little confusing and I found it easier to just try adding dependencies by hand into the folder to see which ones fixed it.
I found that these were the extra ones needed:
- QT_DIR/qml/QtQuick2.0
- Also requires the QtGStreamer folder from
qt-gstreamer\build\src\qml\quick2\QtGStreamer - Requires Qt5OpenGL.dll file from QT_DIR\bin\Qt5openGL.dll
This last one was much less obvious as it didn't give any sensible warnings like it does for the other 2. It gives some error about libgstqt5videosink.dll not being found even though it is found and loaded... very strange.
Anyways, I hope this might help someone else in this frustrating situation.
