I've recently installed Manjaro Linux & required Qt 5 libraries were packed with the distribution. Qt Assistant(4.7.x) is available, but I'm looking for Qt Assistant for Qt 5 or offline docs.
I installed Qt creator, but Help tab doesn't provide the Qt API documentation. Is there any way to get offline copy of Qt 5 docs without installing binary & source packages ?
    Thanks.

      Hi @rawfool,

As I understand it, Manjaro is built on Arch, and Arch appears to have Qt Assistant available as the qt5-tools package.

      Cheers.

          Hi,

Assistant and many other "secondary" tools have moved to the qttools module.

For the documentation itself, you should check your distribution packages.

I'm confused. Sorry, I didn't understand what you mean by this?

Sorry, I meant that Assistant is independent from the documentation itself. Usually, Qt modules provide their own documentation and examples. That's why I suggested to take a look at the packages provided by your distribution.

@rawfool Why not just check by yourself?
Your question is not related to Qt, it is related to how your Linux distribution packages Qt stuff.
                See here: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/qt5-tools/

If you install qt-tools you'll get Qt Assistant (along with other tools). If you want Qt docs, install Arch's qt5-docs package too.

                  Cheers.
