Issue with closing QMenu in QT 5.2 on Mac OS

Drop down menu failed to close after clicking on title bar of QMainWindow when the menu was top-level.
To resolve the issue I have passed QMainWindow as parent to QMenu. In this case QMenu fails to close after clicking outside of the main window.
Is there such a known issue in QT 5.2 or how can I resolve it? -
