    Hello, I recently created my first Qt project following this video:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPbvvBGi5oI&ab_channel=ProgrammingKnowledge
    So far I've just downloaded the Qt creator software from the website, not aware if anything else is needed, and when I try to run my program it just goes into '(not responding)' mode, with no real hint as to why.
    I'm running on windows 10 64bit and I really can't see a reason why it wouldn't work.
    I'd be happy to provide any other information that might be needed.

      Hi and welcome to devnet,

      Might be a silly question but did you install a full blown Qt or only Qt Creator ?

      What compiler are you using ?

        Windows?
        Try to disable your anti-virus software :-)

          @SGaist Downloaded and installed Qt open source http://www.qt.io/download-open-source/
          The installation is on my desktop, did the exact same thing on my laptop and it seems to work ok, though I prefer to work at my desktop.
          As far as I know it's minGW.

            @Zzimon
            hi as @jsulm mentioned, if you have avast then it really might be the reason.
            So check its not your scanner that makes troubles.

              Restart as well as disabling Avast shields seemed to work. Thanks! :)
