Solved Where is the qwindows.lib in Qt-opensource-windows-x86-msvc2010-5.5.1?
-
Hi!
I want to static compilation with Qt 5.5. But it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "windows" now.
I see many tutors say it should add qwindows.lib, but I can't find the qwindows.lib. I find the dynamic link library qwindows.dll in D:\Qt\Qt5.5.1\5.5\msvc2010\plugins\platforms only.
What should I do? Thanks help. -
Hi,
There's non because it's a plugin and you don't link against it.
If you want a full static build, then you will have to rebuild Qt yourself. Be aware of the licensing implication if you want to use a static build of Qt.

@SGaist Yes. I didn't get the real Qt source code early. I clone the Qt Source code from github and build it in static, then there have qwindows.lib and I static complie my Qt Project successfully, Thanks tips!

The official repositories are located on code.qt.io
github is just a mirror.
