Qt.4.8 and Vtk.6.2 real time point cloud streaming issue.

Hello Everyone,
I am using pcl libraries with Qt, and I have to render laser scanner data
continuously in the qvtkWidget.
But whenever i update qvtkWidget, on receiving the data, main windows gets hangs.This is the slot , where i receive the laser scanner data continuously,
connect(UrgTrd,SIGNAL(SetDataXYZ(long,long,long)),this,SLOT(OnGetDataXYZ(long,long,long)));this is the code inside the SLOT OnGetDataXYZ().
viewer->updatePointCloud (cloud, "cloud");
ui->qvtk->update();Please any one suggest me, how to refresh qvtkwidget in QMainWindow, without any issue.

I haven't used VTK yet but at what rate are you getting the data ? Is that data pre-processed ?
