We are trying to determine if QT will support a 1bpp, 2bpp or 4bpp monochrome or greyscale frame buffer. Our display is a monochrome 320 by 240 pixel LCD with a 4 data bit interface to be used in an embedded system. Any info would be helpful. We are trying to figure out if an i.MX25 will work with QT for this with the LCDC in the micro.

    Thanks.

      Hi and welcome to devnet,

What version of Qt are you using ? Is your LCD screen already support as LinuxFB ?

We haven't selected a version yet. We are trying to determine that.

We are going to have a 3rd party develop a Linux driver for us to use the i.MX25 LCDC hardware to write to the LCD screen.

Since 4.8.7 is the last version of the Qt 4 series, you should go with Qt 5
