Then, you should go in the Preferences and under Help you can add new versions of the documentation files

      Thanks, SGaist.

I just found this. I went into it and removed all the 5.3 docs (this is my laptop). I saw all these docs were auto-detected. Then I added all the 5.5 docs in Qt-5.5.0/docs folder. The previous docs were sorted, but the new ones are not. Is there a way to sort it?

What do you mean by sorted ?

I mean, in the contents, all the docs of 5.3 were in alphabet order. The new list of 5.5 docs are not.

If you mean the index tab in the help part, I've never seen the docs not ordered. Did the indexing already run ?

Well, we can select "Bookmarks" "Contents" "Index" or "Search". I was talking about "Contents".

Ok, that one. Well, I've never paid attention until now but mine's also unsorted...

                  SGaist,

"Index" looks right. I usually start at "Contents" to look for specific document. Unsorted list is kind of painful.

If this is difficult to correct, let's leave with it. It is better than just seeing docs of older version. I am happy to see newer version now.

My more painful one is my question 2. Can you help me?

I don't know how the sorting is done so I can't say if it's a bug or not.

For number 2, the first thing I'd do is get Qt Creator 3.5

Let's try. I am working on it now.

                        Compiling...

I doubt this will help because 3.4.2 works well on my desktop. All the docs look nice and neat. We will see ...

Could it be some differences in the process "make docs"? I am also using QCustomPlot. That package has a qch file too that has no display issue.

Installed 3.5.0. Problem 2 is still there.

                            I found this link:

                            https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-30965

I don't know if my problem is the same. In my case, both QtCreator help window and assistant program have the same issue. Can anybody tell me how I can check whether I have webkit or webview compiled and installed? I am newbie to Qt. This is too deep for me to dive into.

                            Thanks.

Look a the lib folder you'll see directly. IIRC when the docs are not shown properly, it generally means the Assistant was not built using webkit
