-
Hi all,
It has been almost 24 Hrs since I have been trying and still I can not make Qt run.
So please help me out here.-
I downloaded this offline installer: qt-opensource-windows-x86-msvc2013_64_opengl-5.4.1.exe and installed it.
-
I already had Visual Studio 2012 installed.
-
I also installed MinGW 4.8.1-4
Now when I am trying to Build an Example named "Application". I am getting following Compile Output:
00:08:14: Running steps for project application... 00:08:14: Configuration unchanged, skipping qmake step. 00:08:14: Starting: "C:\MinGW\bin\mingw32-make.exe" C:/MinGW/bin/mingw32-make -f Makefile.Release mingw32-make[1]: Entering directory 'C:/Qt/Qt5.4.1/Examples/Qt-5.4/widgets/mainwindows/build-application-Desktop-Release' C:\Qt\Qt5.4.1\5.4\msvc2013_64_opengl\bin\rcc.exe -name application ..\application\application.qrc -o release\qrc_application.cpp Makefile.Release:112: recipe for target 'release/qrc_application.cpp' failed mingw32-make[1]: *** [release/qrc_application.cpp] Error -1073741515 mingw32-make[1]: Leaving directory 'C:/Qt/Qt5.4.1/Examples/Qt-5.4/widgets/mainwindows/build-application-Desktop-Release' mingw32-make: *** [release] Error 2 Makefile:34: recipe for target 'release' failed 00:08:15: The process "C:\MinGW\bin\mingw32-make.exe" exited with code 2. Hi and welcome to devnet,
You are trying to build your software with MinGW and you have installed Qt for Visual Studio 2013. That won't work, you can't mix and match compilers like that especially on Windows they are not compatible one with the other (even between versions of MSVC). You must use matching packages, so either install Qt's MinGW version. or install Visual Studio 2013 and correct the settings to use the correct compiler

@SGaist Thank you for the reply. But I am a newbie here and don't know anything. So can you please send me download link for whichever of "Visual Studio 2013" and "Qt's MinGW version" is a smaller file to download.
Or is there any other way so that I need to download minimum data.
