    I've tried but failed several times to git qtbase. I haven't had problems with others from the repository. The following is an excerpt during ./init-repository:

    + git clone --branch 5.5 git://code.qt.io/qt/qtbase.git qtbase
    Cloning into 'qtbase'...
    fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly
    git clone --branch 5.5 git://code.qt.io/qt/qtbase.git qtbase exited with status 32768 at ./init-repository line 221
    Qt::InitRepository::exe('Qt::InitRepository=HASH(0x1897b70)', 'git', 'clone', '--branch', 5.5, 'git://code.qt.io/qt/qtbase.git', 'qtbase') called at ./init-repository line 472
    Qt::InitRepository::git_clone_one_submodule('Qt::InitRepository=HASH(0x1897b70)', 'qtbase', 'qt/qtbase.git', 5.5) called at ./init-repository line 378
    Qt::InitRepository::git_clone_all_submodules('Qt::InitRepository=HASH(0x1897b70)', 'qt/qt5', 0, 'default') called at ./init-repository line 565
    Qt::InitRepository::run('Qt::InitRepository=HASH(0x1897b70)') called at ./init-repository line 576

      Hi and welcome to devnet,

      You should rather check the interest mailing list. You'll find there Qt's developers/maintainers. This forum is more user oriented
