I am totally new in Qt and I was trying to build the example Hello program, but it can't find the Glu32.dll. I would appreciate some help on how to get myself started with Qt. Maybe there is an environment setup that I am missing.

I installed 5.4 downloaded from the site.

    Thank you in advance.

    Andy

Hello, thanks for the speedy response. I installed the latest Qt 5.4 on Windows 8.1. I did installed in on a different drive instead of the default C:\Qt.

        Thanks again for the help.

But which package ? Qt for windows comes in several flavors between the various Visual Studio builds and MinGW

Hello again, not sure which package but here are a couple of snapshots that I hope can clarify my issue.

            Thanks again.

I have Visual Studio 2013 installed. But I also have Embarcadero XE6 installed. I am more of a Delphi programmer, so Qt is really new to me.

Thanks again for any help. Appreciate it.

Then first thing to do is to download the Visual Studio 2013 Qt Version. Microsoft's compiler are not compatible one with the other so you have to use matching libraries. This is not valid only for Qt but for all libraries you would like to use in your project.

Thank you for the guidance. I will uninstall my Qt and install the appropriate one. I will report back on my progress.

                    Thanks again.
