    Hey,
I think I need yours help.
I just have downloaded Qt ("qt-opensource-windows-x86-1.6.0-7-online.exe") after that i've installed it ... but now the programm soesn't want to start ...
If i'm doubleclicking the "qtcreator.exe" there happens nothing, even if I select "run as admin".

    I'm using windows 8.1 64bit

If you could help me, I would be very happy :)

    Leon

Hi, try installing Qt again (to another place for example C:\Qt2 instead of C:\Qt) when the Qt Setup ends with the title "Completing the Qt Wizard" and you click the "Finish" button does Notepad and Qt Creator both start or just one of them?

Hmmm, just guessing but do you have any anti-virus programs like McAfee or Norton running? If so disable them and try again.

Hmmm, ok, when installing Qt what directory did you specify, the default C:\Qt or something else?
(If you installed to C:\Program Files (x86) that could explain why Qt Creator doesn't launch.)

Also, open the directory where you installed Qt, is there an InstallationLog.txt file in there? If so, could you look at the last lines?

                          Hi,

Because you are installing Qt for Visual Studio 2013, so you would need to have MSVC2013 to build software with it and the only way is to get it from Microsoft's website
