Using GPS receiver from Android device

Hello everyone!

I'm new in Qt and I'm trying to make a navigation app for Android devices using Qt 5.2. My question is if there is any way of activating from code the GPS module integrated in Android device so I could read the NMEA data.

I have been trying to find tutorials that explain how to access android methods to access android llibarys. "Qandroidjnienvironment":http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-5/qandroidjnienvironment.html
seems to be the way to go but i have no clue how to use it.

I would like some help in that too
