List of smartphones that are thoroughly supported with Qt
-
I would like to test some estimation algorithms. I realized that instead of buying sensors, I should use the smartphones' sensors. I'm really looking for a variety of sensors such as GPS, compass, camera, accelerometer, etc. I'm good in C/C++ and Matlab with some good basic knowledge in Qt. Long story short, I'm looking for smartphones that are fully supported with Qt. Is there any list of smartphones you suggest me?

I think Jolla should be your choice. You can Qt 5.2 after update 9 is released. Update 9 should be released next week.

Hi,
Check "Qt5ForAndroidSupportedDevices":http://qt-project.org/wiki/Qt5ForAndroidSupportedDevices.

@Vincent007, can I use only C++ to access to the sensors? I don't want to learn another language, at least for now. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi,
bq. can I use only C++ to access to the sensors?
You can use external library and link it to you Qt app. But Qt itself has its own very good Sensors API's and very easy to use.
Also using external sensors API's may increase complexity for even simple tasks. I would honestly suggest you to put one time effort in learning the usage of these Qt API's and then in future you will surely enjoy it's benefits. And ofcourse you get the advantage of crossplatform compatibility. -
You can use C++ to access to the sensors.
