      Hi and welcome to devnet,

Are you using an Antivirus ? IIRC, some of them can interfere

No, not on this machine. (It is isolated from internet)

I can install the software no problems on a Win7 32 bit laptop without issue.
5.2 installed previously without issues. I also uninstalled that prior
        to the first attempt.

        Any other suggestions?

Did you restart windows in between ? Do you have Qt Creator running ?

Yes, I restarted windows. I have tried ignore and was able to compile program an example program but now get an error about could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "windows". I assume it did not create or copy the qwindows.dll

I will try to locate this file on Monday on a laptop that Qt5.3.1 did install correctly.

One thing is really not clear: are you getting that error running your program from Qt Creator or launching it by e.g. a double click on it ?

Then you probably have not a complete install, you should retry the installation. Ensure that you are starting from a fresh Windows start where you don't have any Qt SDK related software running

                    Installed 5.3.2 OK
No resolution for 5.3.1 but not needed now.
