MSVS 2010 cannot locate header files
-
Hello!
I'm new to qt and persistantly got the following error(s):
After installing Visual Studio 2010,
After installing Qt library 5.3.1,
After installing Qt plugin for VS 2010,
After creating project with Qt5 plugin,Visual Studio still cannot locate headers required to build a project.
I want to take an example from here: http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/gettingstartedqt.html
and make it work.
Any new component added to my project( to the code file ) - studio cannot locate Header, for example,
QTextEdit.h.though i explicitly specified in Project->Options->VC++ directories folder, containing this file as well as many other. Can you, please, make a step-by-step instruction on installing/setuping/building steps in order to get started programming with qt rather than finding the ways to make the whole thing run.
Thanks, Alexander.

Hi and welcome to devnet,
QTextEdit.h does not exist.
You should use
@#include <QTextEdit>@

Oh, Thanks A Lot.
Looks like Qt is using nameofclass <-> nameofheader convention, and hmm...
why wouldn't #include <QTextEdit.h> work?Topic could be closed anyway.

Indeed
Simple: because the file doesn't exist, you can find qtextedit.h but there's no QTextEdit.h
