I've been looking for an inexpensive ARM based board to integrate with a home automation/security system. My first thought was the Pi, and even thou it is pretty cheap, the device itself is very underpowered, so after some digging I found "this":http://www.hardkernel.com/renewal_2011/products/prdt_info.php?g_code=G135341370451:

It features an A9 based quad core running at 1.7 Ghz, a full 2 GB of ram and Mali 400 at 440Mhz graphics.

It is listed at 90$, which is more than the Pi, but the extra performance is well worth the extra money. And it is still much cheaper than comparable ITX x86 solutions I've been through. You even get an aluminum cooler they call "case":

The device also features a eMMC slot, which is claimed to offer like 2x the performance of an SD card, which I am a little skeptical over, since benchmarks I've seen show eMMC to be only a little bit faster than SD, hardly enough to justify the price premium of eMMC.

Besides the standard accessories like WIFI, Bluetooth and preinstalled SD/eMMC flash with Android, you can also get an IO board with GPIO/PWM/SPI/UART/I2C/ADC interfaces for an extra 15$, which would no doubt be a valuable asset for every tech geek.
