[Solved] how to use QML or Qt to open a web URL using android's or IOS's native web browser
-
I am developing android/IOS SW using QML and Qt, and need to allow users to click on a web Url (or a related button) and then the SW immediately open a web browser like the native ones on android/IOS and show the content of this web Url.
Could anyone tell me how to do this?
Thanks! Look forward to your help!

Hi,
IIRC "QDesktopService::openUrl":http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-5/qdesktopservices.html#openUrl should do the job

Great! It works!
Thanks a lot!
BTW, do you know how to click on a phone number (or a related button) and the SW automatically make a phone call on android/ios mobiles?

For iOS I've created "this wiki entry":http://qt-project.org/wiki/How_to_make_a_call_or_send_a_sms_on_iOS
I don't know yet for android

i'm not sure exactly but for Android this module can be used to embedd a native webview into QML: "https://qt.gitorious.org/qt/qtwebview":https://qt.gitorious.org/qt/qtwebview
