    Hi

I have successfully installed Tizen SDK, compiled QT5 for Tizen and deployed a sample application, HelloWorld, on the emulator. However, when clicking the app icon I get only a black screen in the emulator. Executing similar steps, but in Tizen IDE with a default app template the application window appears. My guess is that Qt does not run correctly on the emulator. Any advice ?

    thanks
    Bogdan

Could you please write which OS do you use, which Qt for Tizen version and which Tizen SDK?

Ubuntu 12.04 64 bits, Qt5 for Tizen Alpha4 (http://qt-project.org/wiki/Build-Qt-for-Tizen) and Tizen SDK 2.2.1. Ubuntu runs in Virtual Box on Win 8.1 64 bits. The VM has 1 GB of RAM and HW acceleration activated.

If you see something like this:
              http://pbrd.co/18fvuY3

It is ok. It's the hello world application with "Hello world" title text.

No, I am seeing only the black screen. Also, I have tried to fill the View with a blue Rectangle, but I am still seeing the black screen.

Your application looks ok in my emulator:
                      http://pbrd.co/18fExIv

                      Perhaps:

                      • you have some exotic GPU

                      • driver problem

                      • try to build touch example

Indeed, the problem seems to be on my side. I'll continue to dig in order to find a solution. Thanks
