You still haven't told us what you want to do. Why would you like to compile Qt? Is it because you want to experiment with cross-compilation? Or because you want to create programs on an ARM device? Also, which Linux are you using? Angstrom Linux (http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/ ) is popular on ARM devices, and already has pre-compiled Qt

Download Qt packages from your Linux repository. You may not need to compile Qt.
