Commercial embedded Linux and Qt: what do you use/recommend?
-
Hi all,
I am currently looking into different commercial embedded Linux offerings for a project I am working on. I've read a bit on QNX, Integrity, MontaVista and MentorGraphics and their commercial embedded Linux offerings, however it is difficult to make a truly informed decision without having used any of their tools or their OS. I'd love to hear what you guys use for embedded Linux with Qt. What do you use? What do you recommend? What works well and what doesn't?
Thanks!

I only used Angstrom OS running on a BeagleBoard xM .
It isn't for real time purpose and I haven't yet successfully compiled Qt with OpenGL support but isn't in my need. -
From my understanding, Angstrom is a freely-available distribution and isn't a commercial version of embedded Linux. For the project I am working on, I would like long-term support from the embedded Linux vendor.

For long-term support I think it's better an open-source project the a commercial one.
Open source projects have generally better support in a lot of forum or website.
I usually prefer open source but if you need a commercial OS I can't help you... :-)
