Will Qt Developer Network gets closed end of 2012?
Don't worry, we all gonna die in december 2012.
But maybe QtDN will be closed shortly BEFORE we all die... now, imagine that. Maybe this closure will actually trigger the catastrophe ;)
Anyway, can any of our gorgeous Trolls confirm (or better - disprove) this? Or maybe it will just be moved to qt-project?

As far as I know, and I'm the project manager for Qt DevNet, the future of this site is bright and long! We have budget, people, stats to die for and a lot of interest in Qt DevNet from inside and outside of Nokia. Both for the amazing Qt community we so humbly serve and for the code base of Qt DevNet it self.
And besides, we don't follow the Maya calendar around here. :)

Is it right?
Oh, come on... It must be just a Mayan's rumor :D Even though if it is true I would be worried there is a lot of time till the end of 2012 ;)
Can you share those stats? Or are they published already somewhere?
Yes, it will be interesting for all of us to see them :)

There are new releases all one or two weeks, so what are you looking for?
"beta" is the new catch phrase, it means: "come on in, we have cookies!" (in case of QtDN, that is actually "muffins"). GMail was in beta, if I recall well, for 5 years...
-
My point was that the term "beta" is being widely overused, especially on web sites. QtDN is in good shape anyway - whether it should be still called beta is somewhat debatable (then again, I don't really mind whether it is still beta or final - it works just as well). Same was the case with GMail.
-
Alexandra and I argued about the beta tag the other day, we have some big things coming (Qt 4.8 documentation and Q&A forums) that I would like to land before it goes away. We're also quite far along in a security review - important but invisible work.
And once it's gone we should follow in the footsteps of others and provide a per user check box in the control panel in case you want it back ;)

This would be the most important feature we need ;-)
By the way, it could be added now for those, who don't want it, and the default is: checked (which would mean, keep it) ...
