Solved "No valid kits found" in creating a project in Qt Creator
-
I am new to Qt. I installed a Qt-v4.8.0 at Windows. I tried to create an project, but got "no valid kits found" in installation. What's wrong with it? I tried to add kits through "Tools --> Options --> Kits ...." but in vain. Does Qt Creator include Qt SDK? I didn't install Qt SDK independently with Qt Creator. If I need to install Qt SDK independently, where can I find a free trial version of it?

Get the Qt online installer from https://www.qt.io/download-qt-installer
During installation, check some Qt version. Can be any, I'd recommend Qt 5.11.3 because the newest release (5.12) is very buggy. Qt Creator will be installed by default so you don't need to bother with it.
where can I find a free trial version of it?
Qt is a Free and Open Source project. You don't need a trial, the installer gives you full product for zero cost (but you need to adhere to LGPLv3 or GPLv3 licenses). More detailed licensing instructions: https://www.qt.io/download
