    Hi,

    I'm using the addin "qt-vs-addin-1.1.11-opensource" for Visual Studio 2005. The addin works perfectly in Windows 7, but it fails to load in Windows 10. The first time Visual Studio is started afer installation of the addin, I get the following error message:

    The Add-in 'Qt Add-in 1.1.11' failed to load or caused an axception.
    Would you like to remove this Add-in?
    If you choose yes, the file it was loaded from, 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Digia\Qt4VSAddin.Addin', will be renamed.

    Error Message: Invalid class string

    Error number: 800401f3

    Executing in compatibility mode does not help. Anybody has any ideas?

      Since VS 2005 is outdated since ages I wonder that you managed to work it with Windows 10. The same goes for the Qt4 plugin. So I would advise to upgrade your compiler and Qt or just don't use the plugin.

        Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, it is not an option to move to a modern version of VS because I need to build for Windows CE.

          Stick to Windows 7, then.

            @rasmusan
            Hi
            I would consider using a virtual machine with windows 7 installed.
            That way u can use modern OS and still develop for CE.

            also you did update vs2005 ?
