Anyone with experience using mapboxgl mapping plugin?

Running Qt5.10.1 on Windows 10 and trying to work through the QML example program location/mapviewer. Most of that example works, but NOT the mapboxgl map provider. Successfully installed access_token for mapbox, and that provider (and the others as well) works fine - it is just the mapboxgl plugin that fails.

If you have successfully used that plugin - and the location/mapviewer example or equivalent app - on Windows, I'd like to hear from you.
