QtDesigner resize problem

I create a UI with QtDesigner and do some testing and realize that it should be smaller and I make it smaller in QtDesigner, but when I try to open the UI it has reverted to the original size. I looked for similar problems but everything was about layouts which I did not use. Can I force it to accept the new size or do I just live with it?

Normally forms stay exactly the size as in designer.
Have you check if something in code set size ?
