For those interested in cross-development with Qt5.9.3 from a PC to the Pi, I just published a builder script that works without relying on any 3rd party tools, it uses only standard Debian (and Raspbian) packages (like Debian's on-board 6.3.0 armhf cross toolchain) to fully build Qt5.9.3 and its examples.
