3D Mouse support removed?

Hi,
I'm trying to test a 3DConnexion Space Explorer we've got. I noticed the following page on support of 3D mice:

When I looked further into qt/3d, the picture got muddled on what was supported. Qt/3D repo apparently got merged into Quick3d, and the mouse3dtest referred to in the page no longer exists in the repo.
Could someone point me to new documentation or let me know if 3D mice are still being supported?
