This question was asked 4 years ago with no response, but I am facing the same problem.
Is there any way to create and save a ppt file on MAC OS X without having MS installed?

The wiki says "Files using the XML-based (.pptx) format could be processed using Qt's XML handling classes", but I'm not sure how to do it. Any tip?

Hi and welcome to the forum,

There is a project QtXlsWriter on Github that uses only XML files to make and change .xlsx files without having Excel installed.

I 'm not aware if something similar exists for pptx files but following that link you will find references on how to use the XML data with Qt.
