Delete Menu Bar

I am trying to remove the menu bar from my main window. In the designer, I right-clicked the menu bar, and clicked "Remove Menu Bar". It works fine, and the menu bar disappears in the designer. When I build and run my application, the menu bar still appears!? I tried cleaning and rebuilding, but I got the same results. I have the same problem with the status bar.

I am using Linux Ubuntu 10.04.

I just tried it on my Windows computer, and it works! So I guess this is a Linux problem. I will seek help elsewhere. Maybe there is some type of cache that has to be cleared. I will try it out on another Linux distro / computer.

On RHEL4.7 running Qt 4.6.1 I don't see such problem.

Then it could be an Ubuntu problem.

Sometimes I've seen similar issues in Creator and the work around is that I close all other projects and clean and rebuild this project, it works ... doesn't happen always :)
