Issue connecting to embedded linux device

I want to connect my Qt to embedded Linux device and followed the instructions provided "Connecting to embedded Linux device" and tried to generate a private key file but was unsuccessful.
After clicking on Generate and Save Key Pair, Qt Creator just shuts down. (i.e. Qt Options -> Devices -> Create New -> Generate and Save Key Pair (in SSH Key Configuration) )
And i'm also unable to find any private key stored in the defined folder as well.
