I've been prepping my system for Qt5 development, and have followed the instructions on the informative "wiki page":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/Building_Qt_5_from_Git and have also read the README file in the code tree.

I've noticed that in the README file there is the following:

bq. If you are a Nokia developer, you should add the -nokia-developer argument

Can anyone tell me what magic is done by the -nokia-developer argument, and how that plays into the arena of open governance?

I asked about this on irc the other day when I was writing that wiki article. It bypasses the license check and enables the traditional -developer-build option.

Edit. I have now updated the wiki to mention this.
