What does the Qt's EGLFS and LinuxFB plugins do? Does EGLFS plugin makes use of EGL? Are both of these platform plugins does not require a windowing system like X11 or Wayland in the system to work properly?

      Hi,

It's pretty much all explained here.

Thanks for your reply. I did read that link before. I still had some confusion about the way the plugins work and that is why I posted this question. Could you give me some more details for my questions?

          What confuses you ?

The documentation of EGLFS explicitly says that it uses EGL and that it works without any windowing system.
And for LinuxFB, it writes directly to the frame buffer so again it doesn't need any windowing system.

Thanks again. Yes, I wanted to clarify whether both EGLFS and LINUXFB plugins do not require a windowing system.

Again, from the documentation, they don't.
