QML internationalization minimal working example

Could someone provide a link?
I have read these two:

, but who could explain, what "rootItem" should be?

Both links seem to suppose the reader is an expert in QML, Qt and so on. But the expert does not need such articles.

As an example of good example I would give this site, where creation of singleton has been explained in clear text:
