QML Profiler extremely slow

Hello,
I tried to run the QML Profiler with Qt Creator 3.4.2 on (using Qt 5.5.1) and it is really slow. It does the work but it makes QtCreator really slow and unresponsive. It takes couple seconds or even more to switch between 2 files. Besides that, the "Timeline" tab is black so I cannot see any useful information. This happens both with simple "Hello World" QML app or with more complex QML app (where I import custom controls, have images, etc).
I have 16GB of RAM and i7 3,6GHz so I doubt that problem are resources. My OS is Kubuntu 15.04.
Anyone had a similar issue?
