[Moved] debugger not observing breakpoints in terminal app
I'm trying to debug a small app that uses the terminal for I/O. It seems that none of my breakpoints are being observed; the program just runs. Is there a special setting I have to use to get the debugger to work with terminal apps?
do you mean that the debugger does work with a gui program?
I'm on a Mac; not sure F5 does anything for me.
And yes, the debugger works sensationally on a GUI app. But in my terminal app, I have breakpoints all over the place, and the program just skips over them and goes on.
It may have something to do with the Mac opening two terminal windows for me when I launch the program. I don't really need to run this in the terminal; what's the quickest way to change this project to just do I/O to the console?
Sorry, cant help you here.
Mayby you can try qdebug class to help you out for the moment?
I can confirm this. Seems to be a bug. I suggest, you open a new issue on the "bug tracker":http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com.
