Is there a way to get the QGraphicsItem::childrenBoundingRect of all visible children, or do i have to implement it by myself ?

I think you will need to implement this yourself. Does the default implementation include the bounding rects of hidden items then?

Yes it does, so i thought I just havent found the right function or trick to only get visible items. I just want to use as much Qt functions as possible.But if no such function exists, I can implement it with clear conscience.

I can see a use case for such a function too. It might be a nice addition to submit to Qt itself via a merge request on gitorious. Good luck with your project.

I'm also looking for this functionality. Having a filter on childrenBoundingRect() would be nice.
