    Hello,

I am building a web browser in Qt using a QWebView. I have noticed that QWebView (QWV) renders web pages rather poorly. Google search results have weird underlines, and Google Images is a disaster. I am sure that there are many other websites in a similar boat.

Based on this observation I have several questions:

    1. why does QWV render like this? I was under the impression it has the same rendering engine as chrome and safari.
    2. is there any way to change how it renders? I am not experienced enough to climb around the actual QWV source code, however.
    3. Are there plans to upgrade QWV in the future?
    4. how does QWV loading speed stack up against mainstream browsers? Is it even possible to make a competitive browser in Qt?

    Thank you for your time!
