Movable and Animated Buttons

Hi,
I have a 3D scene (in OpenGL). I would like to add animated buttons on top of it using QML. Those buttons should be:
Animated: when we hover a button, some animation should be triggered;
Movable: the user should be able to move them anywhere he wants.
I have no clue where to start. Any hint (link, qt examples, overall tips, etc) would be extremely helpful.

PS: I am not interested by the part "how to overlay QML on top of OpenGL. This is done already^^"
