How to complete debug function?

I'd like to write a python ide whit Qt,but I do not know how to complete the debug function.Should I use QProcess? -
I wan to say is you can use the debug function to debug a Python script with my program(I want to write a python ide).Like a debug function in Qt Creator.But I have no idea to finish the debug function.
