    Hi!
I created a DLL file and works as intended, but when someone with a newer version of Qt wants to use it the program chrashes.
My DLL file works on Qt 5.2 but not on 5.3.
Is there a specific way to create a forward compatible DLL file?

      Hi and welcome to devnet,

Qt is already forward compatible. Are you using both the same Visual Studio runtime ? The same Visual Studio version ?

        Visual Studio? No.
        We both use MinGW.
I installed the newest Qt to another machine, tried it there and it did not work. I can tell it's because of the DLL file, because if I compile it without the DLL and include the source files to the project instead, it works perfectly.

I just downloaded a library and wanted to use it as a DLL.
I don't know anything about dependencies.
