Xmlhttprequest: open with username and password

Hi!
I have the following code:

var request = new XMLHttpRequest();
request.open("GET", "https://domain:port/api.php", true, "user", "password");
@There is a .htaccess file on the server.
Unfortunately my code does not work. request.status is 0. I am using Qt 5.3.
When I open the address in a browser everything works fine.
Can anybody help me, please.
