Glitches with transparent windows

Hello,
I have a window that I have set to be translucent white, but it has a couple of glitches. Whenever I click off and on the window, the translucent white background becomes more opaque. Whenever I close a tab, etc. there is a 'ghost' of the old tab left. How do I keep these ghosts and the translucency?
