Is there anyway to make the tabs on the QTabWidget equal length and remain equal length while the mouse is hovering over the widget and then only resize when the mouse leaves. This makes it easier to close tabs in succession while also viewing the contents as the next tabs close button will be in the same place. This functionality is basically same as chrome's tabs.

Nope, no built-in way. You'd have to implement that yourself.
