Can QProcess be used with plain C++ project?

Hello,
I'm completely new to the qt. I was using a plain C++ before for my academic projects so far. Now I'm in need of using an external program (gnuplot) with my code for plotting purpose for which I want to use QProcess.
So my question is can I use QProcess with plain C++ project? I tried including QProcess header file but it did not work that way.

No. For calling external application with QProcess you need to have at least QtCore. "See QProcess":http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-5/QProcess.html which requires QtCore, line "qmake: QT += core".
